Illo Quintavalle is the President of the Group and minority shareholder through the FDQ Group subsidiaries.
He began his studies at the Ecole Française De Milan. At the age of 22, he took a four year degree in Business Administration at Liuc and then immediately started working for the Family Group. He started a training period at various branches throughout Italy and at head office, then after a six month adaptation period, he went to the US as a support for the new American company Quanta Staffing Solutions.
In 2004 he was transferred to Lugano, where for the next three years he performed all the typical activities of our business, from recruiting to sales, until he became Manager and then CEO of Quanta Switzerland in 2005.
From 2005, while still keeping his role of Switzerland CEO, he was also involved with the Romania office, and effectively collaborated in obtaining permission for it to operate as a locally authorized Employment Agency.
From 2007 he was responsible for all the international activities, reporting to the Country Managers of the three foreign companies and managed to develop new services, such as international staff hiring, and directly managed high calibre clients such as Boeing and Agusta. This period saw a significant increase in turnover, allowing the company to get through a time of economic global recession with no pain.
In 2010, as well as keeping his international role, Illo took the position of North Italy Business Manager, which enabled him to gain familiarity with the Italian network and the typical practices of our business. The opening of business in Brazil, as well as the acquisition of 75% of Selectia, brought his imprimatur, though the development of team work was also fundamental for the successful outcome of the negotiations.
From the beginning of 2012 he retired briefly from the Group’s foreign operations to become General Director of Quanta Italy. In these years Quanta gained a new identity as a specialized leader in the aerospace and agricultural sectors. Thanks to these satisfying results, Illo has been CEO and Vice President of the entire Quanta Group since 2013.
Illo himself contributed to the internal departmentalizing of the Group which led to double figure sales in the last three years. In 2013 the Group made sales of 155 Ml, gave jobs to over 14,000 people during that year and contributed to the training of more than 3000 people around the world.
